Each episode features an honest conversation with a different artist across a range of disciplines, including writing, acting, comedy, film, music, and the visual arts. This artist is typically someone doing very well in his or her field, but who has not yet "crested" the top. "Why Aren't You Famous?" is, therefore, a question as well as an exploration of what fame means in our time and whether it is truly the goal that matters
